Newly Launched ESTETA Skincare LLC Joins Forces with EB Research PartnershiP
By combining ESTETA’s mission of compassionate care with EB Research Partnership’s groundbreaking research model, this collaboration aims to bring hope and healing to families affected by EB.
October 31, 2025
NEW YORK, Oct. 31, 2025 -- ESTETA Skincare LLC is proud to announce a formal collaboration with EB Research Partnership (EBRP), the largest global nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare and devastating genetic skin disease. Together, ESTETA and EBRP are committed to raising awareness and funds to bring life-changing treatments, and ultimately a cure, within reach.
The Need for a Cure
Children with EB are often called “Butterfly Children” because their skin is as fragile as the wings of a butterfly. Because their skin lacks critical proteins that bind its layers together, those living with EB often face constant blistering, painful wounds, and a dramatically shortened life expectancy. Even the simplest daily activities like eating, walking, or hugging can cause unbearable pain. There is currently no cure for EB, but EBRP is dedicated to changing that.
Founded in 2010 by a group of determined parents, along with Jill and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, EBRP has become the global leader in EB research. Over the past decade, EBRP has raised more than $75 million, fueled a 25-fold increase in EB clinical trials, and directly accelerated three FDA-approved treatments in just the past two years. Their innovative Venture Philanthropy model is not only transforming EB research, but also creating scalable impact for the 400 million people worldwide living with a rare disease.
The Heart of Esteta
ESTETA Skincare was born out of love, loss, and resilience. Elisa, a radiant little girl who lived just five years with EB, inspired the creation of a skincare line rooted in compassion. Despite her daily struggles, Elisa participated in clinical trials, championed access to treatments, and even inspired the development of adaptive clothing for children like her.
Her enduring legacy is ESTETA: skincare designed to respect vulnerability, support healing, and honor strength. Elisa’s life continues to guide ESTETA’s mission: to create products that care for the skin while investing in a future where no child suffers from EB.
A Partnership Fueled by Hope and Action
Through this new collaboration, ESTETA and EBRP will work hand in hand to raise critical funds and awareness. Their shared mission: accelerate research, expand access to life-changing treatments, and ultimately find a cure for EB.
“Together, we’re turning hope into action through science, care, and compassion. For us, skincare is just the beginning. The real goal is a future without EB,” said Gabriella McCann, ESTETA Co-Founder and Mom to Elisa.
ESTETA Skincare’s first line of products, inspired by Elisa’s legacy, is set to launch in October 2025. A portion of proceeds will directly benefit EBRP, amplifying their work to find cures for EB today and open the door for thousands of other rare genetic diseases tomorrow.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with ESTETA Skincare in our shared mission to find life-saving treatments and cures for EB. This collaboration is a testament to the resilience of the EB community, whose courage and strength inspire everything we do,” said Allison Bolshagettigan, Director of Programs at EBRP. “Together, we are turning that resilience into progress.”
