Greensboro Plunge For Elodie raises awareness for rare disease

Community members stepped up to help raise awareness about a rare, life-threatening disease. The annual Plunge for Elodie took place earlier Saturday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The fundraiser included people diving into the water to raise money to support research on epidermolysis bullosa. The genetic disorder causes the skin to be very fragile. Today's plunge was held in honor of Brooks Kendrick. The 5-year-old has a milder subtype of the disorder called EB Simplex.
