Scientific advisory board
The Board of EBRP is advised by a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) made up of specialists in the field of genetics, hematology, protein therapy, and dermatology. The SAB offers insight and guidance to applicants, fostering an environment that encourages research, collaboration, and ultimately accelerates progress towards a cure for EB.
The SAB has reviewed and recommended for funding applications in excess of $5.2 million dollars during 2016. $2.6 million of that amount EBRP has directly funded and secured funding partners for the remaining $2.6 million. At EBRP we are on track to fund an additional $3.6 million in research in 2017 with the hope to raise $20 million dollars over the next 3 years to go towards treatments and therapies to dramatically improve quality of life for individuals with EB and ultimately a cure.
